
I’ve always said about Oakland that wherever you are in the city, you can walk less than a hundred feet and catch sight of the hills. But in some places, like Jack London Square, you may have to pay attention. (click for bigger version)

Just wanted to mention that I count on your blog for lovely pictures of my home town. I enjoy the pace of geology and reading about it, but the pictures definitely grab me. Thanks for posting

Thank you. I’ve always been big on using pictures at my About.com site; I also have a Fotothing page with occasional shots, and another at Fotonomy with even more occasional shots. And of course the Oakland Sidewalk Stamps blog is all photos.
